Detained Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine, was on Wednesday evening flown to Gulu ahead his appearance before the General Court Martial today.
Bobi Wine was last week charged with possession of firearms and ammunition, which are a preserve of the army.
And on Thursday, the prosecution is expected to tell court how far investigations into the charges slapped against the MP have been concluded for the court to set the date for the trial.
Bobi Wine’s lawyers are also expected to make case for his bail before the court.
The legislator was arrested last week in Arua following the election chaos in the Arua Municipality by-election that was won by Kassiano Wadri. Bobi Wine’s arrest and detention has attracted countrywide protests after it emerged that he was badly tortured during the arrest.
However, the President later denied the torture of the MP.
