KAMPALA- The First Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Leader of Government Business, Gen. Moses Ali has applauded the contribution Woman Member of Parliament Winnie Kiiza made to government during her tenure as Leader of Opposition.
Gen. Ali applauded the legislator for her outstanding performance and informed the house that Kiiza is the only LOP who has ever visited Apaa.
“She was part of the team that travelled to assess the Apaa land dispute and as government we thank her for the courtesy and commitment in the way she did her work as LOP,” Gen. Ali was giving his remarks during the 13th sitting of the first meeting of the third session of the 10th Parliament on August 8.
Gen. Ali gave his assurance that government will work with the new Leader of Opposition to ensure that she gets all the necessary support.
Kiiza said she is willing to work with the new LOP, Gulu Woman MP Betty Aol.
“I rise to congratulate my sister, the current LOP and I would like to thank Parliament for according me all the support during my tenure as LOP. I also had a great team, Kiiza said.
She told the house that she will continue working for the good of the country to achieve improved service delivery.
