ARUA- The Deputy Secretary-General of NRM Hon Richard Todwong on Sunday evening moved a public apology to Mr Angupale Swadic and other candidates for the alleged mess during our party primaries.
Hon Todwong’s apology came shortly after the moving speech by Angupale who complained of several irregularities during the electoral process but later pledged to fully support Nusura Tiperu (NRM flagbearer) in the ongoing general elections.
“We are excited by your decision and on behalf of the NRM Electoral Commission, I apologise for all what happened”, said Todwong at a public rally held at Oli Divisional ground.
He added, “We shall continue learning from these experience and it’s our commitment that we shall next time have much better primaries.”
Angupale who finished second in a tight race of 8 people later said he had taken the party’s apology in good faith and commended the secretariat for all the efforts done.
Angupale is currently the NRM chairperson of Arua Municipality and Guild President of IUIU Arua branch. He is also a former LCIII Chairperson of Oli Division.
