
ARUA– NRM Flag bearer Hon Nusura Tiperu has cast her vote at Kebiri Polling Station, River Oli Division in Arua Municipality.
Accompanied by Hon Lydia Wanyoto the National Chairperson of the NRM Women League, Tiperu reached the station at 10:21 am. Like any other voter, she stayed in line until her voting turn.
Speaking to the Media shortly after casting her vote, Tiperu said, “I am optimistic of winning this race.” She, however, called for calmness during and after polls.
Hon Lydia Wanyoto said, the party had done all the necessary groundwork and that its candidate isn’t far from victory. She added that elections should only be used to decide leaders and not building fame through chaos.

The hotly contested election, which takes place Today Wednesday 15, seeks to replace Ibrahim Abiriga who was shot dead in June in Kawanda, Wakiso District.
The election has 12 candidates from different parties especially in FDC, where some party leaders chose not to support the official party flag bearer, Mr Bruce Musema.
The candidates include Ms Nusura Tiperu (NRM), Mr Bruce Musema (FDC), Mr Jaffar Alekua (Jeema) and Mr Kennedy Madira (DP). Others are Independents Kassiano Wadri, Francis Elton Nyero, Sunday Anguandia, Alfred Nyakuni, Jackson Atima, Simon Avutia, Safi Bavuga and Robert Ejiku.
