KAGADI – Thursday, August 16, was like any other day for Innocent Mukiza, a resident of Hamuji Village in Kyakadima Sub-county, Kagadi District.
Mukiza, a catechist at St. Joseph Mpamba Catholic Church in Mugalike Parish, went to watch Luganda news on Bukedde Television at 10 pm at a neighbour’s home since he doesn’t have a TV set.
He had gone to follow proceedings in the courts regarding the charging of Bobi Wine and other Members of Parliament over the chaos in Arua Municipality on Monday.
The father of six had left the children and wife at home as was the routine.
When the news ended, he returned home at around 10.45pm only to find his wife, not at home.
He inquired from the children about her whereabouts to which they feigned ignorance.
Mukiza said about 40 minutes later, she returned. But when he asked her where she was coming from, she replied rudely, ordering him to mind his business.
He, in turn, accused her of being a prostitute upon which a scuffle ensued. The two engaged in a fist fight from which Mukiza’s testicle organs were bitten off.
He wailed in pain, attracting the attention of residents who rushed him to Ambrose Medical Centre in Kagadi Town.
His wife was arrested and is detained at Kyakabadima Police Post.
Mr John Bosco Musana, the OC, confirmed the incident and said investigations into the matter are ongoing.
Speaking from his sick bed on Friday morning, Musana, who is in visible pain, appealed to sympathisers to help him clear hospital bills.
