BWEYOGERERE – The controversies that surrounded the Kyarenga concert of the celebrated musician and politician Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu state name Bobi Wine was that the stadium was to host a wedding on the 20th.
This was the justification as to why Bobi Wine was not allowed to host his much anticipated Kyarenga show as earlier planned.
In an October 12 letter, the stadium manager, Mr Jamil Ssewanyana, advised Bobi Wine to reschedule the show to another day for the concert because on October 20 when Kyarenga show is to be held, the venue has been booked for a wedding reception and an Athletics event that runs from October 20th to October 26.
“Kindly note the stadium has two pre-booked events namely Uganda Athletic Federation workshop from 15th October to 26th October and a wedding ceremony on 20th October 2018”, the letter reads in part.
Bobi Wine was later forced to reschedule the concert the concert to November 9, 2018.

However, on Saturday, October 20, our reporter visited the stadium for ‘prestigious wedding’ that led to the cancellation of the Kyarenga concert.
To the surprise, we found an empty stadium with only a few people jogging around the building.
As far as information is concerned, Namboole is expecting to host, Masaza Cup finals organized between defending champions Buddu and Singo October 27
Our efforts to get the information from the management didn’t get through as the most of the people in charge of the stadium were nowhere to be seen.
