NAKASONGOLA – Three people died on spot and several others sustained serious injuries after an accident involving a trailer.
According to Paul Kangave, the Savanna region police spokesman, an Isuzu, registration number UBE 048B, collided head-on with a trailer, registration number UAT 139Q at Migyera.
The details of the deceased occupants of motto vehicle Isuzu were not available by press time. The fourth occupant who survived with serious injuries has been identified as Kigundu Yahaya.
The occupants of the trailer sustained minor injuries. They are Kiryowa Moses (Driver) and Ssempima Edward and are admitted at St Francis Health Center III.
In the same area, another vehicle knocked and killed an unidentified person and took off.
A hit and run case had been opened in Migyera and Police are on the lookout for that particular vehicle and its driver.
