MBARARA– Tragedy striked the family of Aaron Amuri on Tuesday evening after his family was showered with acid by unknown people.
Amuri, a resident of Nyakaguruka village, Kitunguru parish in Rugando Sub County Mbarara district was served with bad news by one of his neighbours after his wife and two children were attacked, and poured on acid leaving the wife in critical condition.
We have been told that the victims were attacked in the night of Tuesday. John Bosco Mutabazi the Officer in charge of Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID) at Mbarara police station confirmed the incident and identified the victim as Constance Kyompaire aged 30 and her two children who are currently being admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Mbarara regional referral hospital.
Mutabazi confirmed that they have already taken up the matter for investigations and called upon the public to take the security of their homes as a priority.
Amuri, the husband to Kyompaire narrated that it was around 7pm when he had just left home to go and buy medicine7 pm a nearby drug shop when he received a call from the neighbours that his wife and children have been poured on acid.
“I was shocked when I found my people at home in a very critical situation I had to look for means and rush them to Mbarara regional hospital, I have not known the motives of these attackers who wanted to finish off my family,” said Amuri.
When asked whether he has any suspects in mind, Amuri revealed that there are people he is suspecting but he cannot mention them to the public.
