KAMPALA– Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) veteran producer and presenter Dick Mulima Ssempaka popularly known as Uncle Dick has died.
Family members have confirmed Uncle Dick succumbed to a Heart Attack on Tuesday Morning November 7 at St Apollo Hospital Namasuba last night
Maureen Namubiru his daughter said Uncle Dick Mulima Sempaka has been battling diabetes and high blood pressure for some time.
His body will be taken to UBC gardens for public viewing on Wednesday morning at 11 am before proceeding to St Apollo Church Of Uganda Namasuba Kikajjo for a funeral service at 4 pm
Ssempaka will be buried Thursday at Luswa along Mubende road.
He joined the then UTV while still a young student at Kampala’s top school and have worked for over 40years while anchoring for both radio and television.
He was popular for his Luganda ‘Uncle Dick Live show’ drive on Star FM
He has worked at Star TV/ Radio Uganda since its peak times in the colonial days and the early 1970’s until his retirement in 2017
