KYAMBOGO – Kyambogo University has released a final list for its 15th graduation, with over 7000 graduands.
According to figures from the Department of the Academic Registrar, the three-day graduation ceremony will take place from December 12 to 14.
The university was recently rocked by a results scandal after media reports indicated that officials were being bribed by students to alter research marks for better grades.
Some Kyambogo graduands were also alleging that the research marks had not yet been attached for most of the faculties putting the graduation in balance.
The Academic Registrar department however, on Friday rubbished the claims labeling the information as fake news.
The Academic registrar, Ann Bagumisa promised to print the graduation book that very day and added that everything was still on plan.
Over 7000 students are in the graduation book and expected to graduate from Kyambogo next week.
The Kyambogo University Graduate School, The School of Management and Entrepreneurship and the Faculty of Vocational Studies will graduate first on Wednesday December 12, 2018.
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Faculty of Vocation Studies will then follow on Thursday 13.
Faculty of Education, Science and Engineering will graduate on Friday December 14 2018 to sum up the ceremony.
