MAKERERE– Miss World Africa, also Miss Uganda, Quiin Abenakyo today graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Computing at Makerere University.
Abenakyo who has been studying at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has also met the Vice Chancellor Prof Barnabas Nawangwe ahead of the 3rd session of Makerere University’s 69th Graduation Ceremony.
The beauty queen was among the graduands that received their degrees in today’s session at Makerere University’s Freedom Square.
The beauty was crowned Miss World Africa(2018) and consequently appointed Good Will Tourism Ambassador by Minister Godfrey Kiwanda during the launch of Ekkula Pearl of Africa Tourism Awards Season Four.
The four-day graduation which kicked off on Tuesday will see a total of 13,350 students awarded degrees and diplomas of Makerere University in various disciplines. Of these, 56 will receive PhDs, 1,254 Masters Degrees and 101 Postgraduate Diplomas, while 11,939 will receive undergraduate diplomas and Bachelor’s Degrees. 49.7% of the graduands are women and 50.3% are men.
