KAMPALA – It is a few weeks into the new year and just in case you have been wondering where to go and shake off some stress of the January blues, here are some of the events lined up for this weekend.
1.Tuwaye art Exhibition at Design Hub.
For those that appreciate art and are diehards of Nabukenya Hellen just swing in at Design Hub 5th Street industrial area this Friday till Saturday at 5pm.
There will be showcases of different artworks that will spark out the art imaginations in you.

2. Murchison Falls / Budongo Trip.
If you missed or wasn’t able to go for any vacation during the festive season due to the busy schedule or financial implications, Pearl vacations in conjunction with Uganda Wildlife Authority have organised a 2 day in the wild at Murchison Falls and Budongo Forest in Masindi District.
There will activities like Boat cruises, hiking to the falls, Chimpanzee trekking, bird watching, nature walks, tree hugging, visiting the famous Polish World war (ii) refugee Camp /Church, visiting Nyabyeya forest college among others.
Departure will be at the Uganda Museum at exactly 5 pm on Friday and returning on Sunday.
One will part away with shs 220,000 for Locals and $160 for Foreigners.
Come slay and have fun in the wild as you discover the marvelling beauty of Uganda the Pearl of Africa.
3. Select Fridays at Cayenne Restaurant & Lounge Bukoto, Kampala
Loosening up is one of the things to do this Friday. Cayenne near Kabira country club has got great Jams from your favourite illest DJs from Kampala.
Come dance away till morning.
4. Warehouse party at the Factory.
The Second Edition of the Warehouse party is back with a bang this weekend at the Factory at industrial area.
Expect fun and tunes from your captivating DJ sets still the wee hours of the morning from DJ Leo (Ug) , D J AO walkers, DJ Maintain (UK) ,DJ Moses Rallio and DJ P.K (UK). Entrance is Shs 10, 000.
5. World of inspiration visit at Dr.Naluyima’s Farm.
This Saturday is all roads are leading to Dr.Naluyima’s Farm on Entebbe road to learn the modern farming techniques on one acre of land and make a fortune.T his is organised by the world of inspirations at a cost of Shs 50,000.
6.National Open Boxing Championship at MTN Arena.
The Uganda Boxing Federation has organised an open Championship starting this Saturday 19 – 24th Thursday .
Come enjoy fights from over 500 boxers,40 clubs and different weights.

7. Night of Glory at Paradise Faith Christian Centre.
Come spend this Saturday Night in the presence of God at Paradise Faith Christian Centre in Entebbe.
Gates will be open at 8:00 pm
8.L.O.X. P Hip- pop and Fashion.
This Saturday the Five Horse men in Nsambya on Ggaba road will have the first Edition of the L.O.X.P Hip-hop and Fashion. There will be lots of MC battles , performances , Live Mixes from DJ A O walker and showcases from your top notch Fashion designers in the country. Entrance is shs 10,000.
9.Kite Flying Festival.
Back in the days, we used to fly kites made of polythene bags as young children. The experience is back this Sunday at the Kyambogo Cricket Grounds . It’s a family day out that you shouldn’t miss with your kids so that they can enjoy the games as we color the skies with kites.
There will be lots of Live mixes to dance too and great delicacies.
Gates will be open at 10am and kites will be on sale at the venue.
