
KAMPALA – Outgoing Police Spokesperson SSP Emillian Kayima has on Wednesday 16 handed over office to incoming, CP Enanga Fred.
On January 12, the Inspector General of Police Mr Okoth Ochola, made several changes in police firing Kayima from Police spokesperson, deploying him to the office of Political Commissar.
Ochola brought in CP Enanga as the new police spokesperson who has been at the CID Headquarters in Kibuli.
The changes also brought in SSP Polly Namaye as CP Enanga’s deputy, and SP Onyango shifted to Kampala Metro Politan as the Police Spokesperson, deputised by Luke Owesigiire.
SSP Kayima has applauded the team he headed for being committed and competent officers that worked as a family. He has noted that the challenges at Public Relations office exist as they do but they are not insurmountable.
Enanga has also pledged to work with everyone as he did before saying “The sky will not even be the limit”
Enanga who is now the new Police spokesperson once held the same position but was dropped along with his deputy Namaye by former IGP, Kale Kayihura in 2016.
He was then replaced by the later AIGP, Andrew Felix Kaweesi before who was assassinated in March 2017.
