JINJA – Former Vice President Dr Specioza Wandera Kazibwe was on Sunday booed by mourners after she claimed that Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine was not welcome at the burial of Bishop Cyprian Bamwoze at Christ Cathedral Bugembe in Jinja on Sunday.
Bobi Wine was among politicians, religious leaders and thousands of other mourners at the burial of Bamwoze who succumbed to leukemia last week.
Dr Specioza was not among the speakers at the funeral but was invited by Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga to share a word before she could deliver President Museveni`s condolence massage.
The former VP then said she did not know why Bobi Wine came to bury somebody who wasn’t known to him.
“Why do you come to come to bury somebody who you do not know,” Dr Specioza said.
However, mourners booed her before she could hand over the microphone to Ms Kadaga.
Bobi Wine’s arrival had earlier excited the mourners. Accompanied by Jinja East Member of Parliament Paul Mwiru, the politician-cum artiste had arrived at about 11am. He was welcomed by area MP Nelson Lufafa and ushered into the VIP tent where ministers and invited guests sat. FDC president Patrick Amuriat, Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu, Kampala Minister Betty Kamya, State Minister for Works and Transport Gen Edward Katumba, and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah, among others attended the burial.

No wreaths and money contributions were allowed at the burial as stated in the Bishop’s will.
President Museveni, in a condolence message read by Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga, said Bishop Bamwoze has contributed to the development of youth by mentoring them.
“I have noted contributions of the late Bishop Bamwoze in the region and the country; that is why I gave him a special burial for grooming the youths in Busoga into Christian leadership,” said Mr Museveni.
