MAKERERE – Makerere guild presidential aspirant, Onesmus Mutumba George alias OMG is nursing wounds after allegedly being ganged up and beaten badly by supporters of his co-aspirant Kateregga Julius aka KJ supporters who inflicted serious injuries on him.
This incident took place on Thursday 7 at Livingstone hall during the aftermath of the guild campaigns and rallies.
According to eyewitnesses, a section of KJ supporters who were in red T-shirts labelled RGB grabbed OMG supporters and started beating them up in vengeance.
Sources say that on Wednesday 6 supporters of OMG allegedly pelted stones to KJ supporters which nearly cracked the skull of an RGB general.
This incident prompted RGB camp to revenge by attacking OMG and his supporters.
OMG is currently bedridden at Victoria Hospital in Bukoto where he is receiving treatment to help him regain consciousness.
