
KAMPALA – Makerere University’s 85th guild is scheduled to swear in on Wednesday, March 27 in the university’s Main Building, starting at 2 pm.
Mr. Martins Kato, the university’s Information minister and also the public relations officer for this year’s Makerere University Electoral Commission, said all members of the 84th guild are expected to hand in their positions tomorrow, Wednesday, March 27.
According to the programme, the general public, students and all well-wishers are all invited to attend the event.
“I take this opportunity to appreciate everyone for the journey well traversed till this moment. I wish to cordially inform every one of us that the Swearing-in Ceremony for the 85th guild house is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2019. This memorial event is to take place in the Main building at 2 pm. You are therefore invited to attend this function in order to witness the happenings,” an official statement shared on Mr. Kato’s Facebook page reads, in part.
Mr. Julius Kateregga, leaning on People Power, emerged winner of this year’s guild elections beating 10 other competitors to become the university’s 85th guild president.
