KAMPALA – The New Mulago Specialised Women and Neonatal Hospital will provide free health services to patients on Thursday, March 7 and Friday, March 8.
The free services, running from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on both days, will include BP and BMI for couples, breath examination, health education for all and cervical cancer screening.
The hospital offered free services last year from September 17 to October 9 as the Independence Day gift to Ugandans.
After the opening of the hospital, it received a lot of criticism regarding the prices which people claim are too high for an ordinary Ugandan.
However, according to Dr. Ruth Aceng, the Health Minister, the hospital is limited to referral cases in all its operations.
