ENTEBBE – The second edition of the Uganda Water and Environment Week has started Monday, March 18 at the Water Resource Institute in Entebbe.
Running under the theme ‘Water and environment a strategic driver in the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030’ the week is organized by the Ministry of Water and Environment.
President Yoweri Museveni will officiate at the event which ends Saturday, March 23.
A variety of activities is expected to happen such as practical training, paper presentations, high-level panel discussions, keynote addresses, among others.
The event is expected to attract many participants from different fields representing a wide range of water and environment stakeholders, NGO’s, the private sector, and the public at large.
Keynote speakers shall include, among others, the Speaker of the Parliament Rebecca Kadaga; Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga; Bishop George Bagamuhunda of Kigezi Diocese, and Mr. Patrick Bitature, the chairman, Private Sector Foundation Uganda.
