MUKONO – The State minister for Water Hon. Ronald Kibuule has said that there should be environmental courts to handle cases of those who destroy the environment.
Mr. Kibuule made the remarks at the Mukono Mayor’s Gardens during the launch of the garbage truck which cost UGX530m from Lake Victoria Environmental Project phase II on Tuesday, March 26.
“In the normal courts you have to wait for evidence, listen to submissions which take a lot of time,” he said.
As a way to manage the environment in Mukono, Mr. Kibuule urged the Mukono Town mayor to provide for a dumping place.
He also advised the Mukono residents to plant trees that produce fruits and also conserve the environment.
“Plant trees that produce fruits. These will help those who can’t help themselves,” he said.
