TORORO – Police in Tororo District are hunting for a pastor over the mysterious death of his wife. The District Police Commander, Mr. Rogers Chebene, said the pastor, who owns a church in Molo Sub-county, is needed to help with investigations into the incident.
“The pastor went into hiding after discovering that his wife, Janet Nambudye, had died as a result of suspected electrocution in their house,” Mr. Chebene said.
He said the deceased’s body was recovered abandoned in their house on Wednesday by the resident, who later alerted police.
Meanwhile, a pastor has offered to construct a multi-million National Resistance Movement (NRM) house for Butebo District. Mr. Simon Peter Mubbi said he has requested the NRM leaders to provide land so that he kicks off the construction.
“But if they don’t provide land, I will be prompted to procure it myself within Butebo Town Council,” he said on Tuesday. Mr. Mubbi, who is also a businessman, said the construction of the NRM office will be another away to counter the Opposition in the district.
