KAMPALA – One person has been confirmed dead and 16 people were seriously injured in an accident at Kira Road junction in Kampala.
According to Mr Norman Musinga, the Traffic Commander Kampala Metropolitan, the accident involved 8 motor vehicles and 2 motorcycles.
A driver of a truck registration number UAA 497L Ford, Maroon in colour lost control and rammed into other vehicles and motorcycles that had been stopped at the traffic lights.
A total of 16 people have been rushed to Mulago for treatment as they were severely injured.
According to police, more details will be ascertained soon.
