
KAMPALA – Premier Recruitment Ltd, a recruitment firm for the external labour market, on Friday, May 10, donated foodstuffs to the Muslim community in Bwaise, a Kampala suburb.
Registered with the Ministry of Gender Labor and Social Development and a member of the Ruperalia Group, Premier Recruitment staff led by Ms.Sharifah Nangobi – financial controller – handed over items such as bags of posho, rice, Cooking oil and other assorted items just before their Jumu’ah prayers.
“This is part of the Corporate Social responsibilities activities to support the Moslem community in Bwaise during the Holy month of Ramathan break their fast (if??r),” said Ms. Nangobi
Sowedi Siraje Wasswa, Imam at Bwaise Masjid Moslem community said:
“We extend our appreciation to Premier Recruitment Ltd for this thoughtful gesture and contributing foodstuffs to help the Moslems during Ramathan break their fast. The community has about 400 Muslims that gather here in the evening for “iftar” since most of them can’t afford”.
He added;
“The community is comprised of mostly unprivileged Muslims financially and I call upon the rest to come to our rescue and help us make this possible during this holy period”
“We got a request from this community through our Managing Director seeking for support in terms of foodstuff to help them unfast and reacted quickly to this and have been able to bring items such as Posho, rice, cooking oil, meat and others and believe they will serve the purpose”.
