KAMPALA – Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has rebutted earlier reports that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni appointed Jamil Ssenyonjo as the new KCCA Executive Director.
Earlier reports had indicated that Andrew Mubiru Kitaka – the acting Executive Director of KCCA since December 2018 – was sidelined.
However, KCCA Spokesperson Peter Hillary Kaujju said on Wednesday June 5, that there is no official communication to that effect from the appointing authority.
“Please note that there’s no communication to that effect from the appointing authority. We are carrying out our duties normally for a better city,” he said.
In December 2018, Minister for Kampala, Betty Olive Namisango Kamya appointed Eng. Andrew Kitaka Mubiru as the Acting Executive Director for Kampala subsequent to the resignation of Ms Jennifer Musisi.
Mr Ssenyonjo who allegedly new KCCA boss is the acting Assistant commissioner of URA in charge of Public & Corporate Affairs.
