
KIGALI – RwandAir, one of the fast-growing giants in the aviation industry in East Africa and the rest of Africa, has launched its maiden route to Guangzhou City in the provincial capital of Guangdong in China.
It will be tagged to the existing Mumbai route that was started since April 2017 operated by Airbus A330 with triple-class cabin equipped with the state – of -the- art technology.
Speaking at the launch Ms. Yvonne Manzi Makolo, the CEO RwandAir revealed that this investment will help to meet the high demand of businessmen and traders between Africa and Guangzhou that is growing fast.”
She further noted;
“This will open new business opportunities and also increase passenger and cargo traffic.”
Rwanda’s Minister of state in charge of Transport, Hon. Jean de Dieu Uwihanganye, said;
“We are looking at aviation as a whole and ever since we started the Europe route the number of tourists doubled which is already a return on investment and surely believe this shall work as well.”
Guangzhou, a business hub in China is an expensive city located northwest of Hong Kong on Pearl River, is famous for the Canton tower and the Chimelong tourist resort an international destination for tourists
The route will extend to 28 destinations made by airlines with so far twelve aircraft and second in Asia.
