KAMPALA – The Managing Director -National Enterprise Corporation Lt Gen James Mugira and Mr. Richard Jabo, the Executive Director -Uganda Free Zone Authority (UFZA) have on Monday 24 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the construction of the Free Port Zone facilities at Entebbe International Airport.
UFZA is a government agency and a body corporate established by the Free Zone Act, 2014 to establish, develop, manage, market, maintain, supervise and control Free Zones in Uganda.
Free Zones are customs- controlled areas where goods introduced into the designated area are generally regarded as far as import duties are concerned as being outside the Customs Territory and include Export Processing Zones or Free Port Zones.
