KAMPALA- Former Rukungiri District LC5 chairperson Charles Kwebangira Byabakama has died.
Byabakama breathed his last at Mulago Hospital, Kampala this Thursday afternoon, July 25, upon arrival. The body of the fallen Rukungiri politician lies in Mulago mortuary.
His death drew condolence messages from friends and relatives.
In 2011, he was declared chairman for Rukungiri district, after beating the two other contestants in the race for the LC V seat.
He, however, lost the chairmanship after only one term in office just like most of his predecessors.
Former Rukungiri LC 5 Chairman bounced back into the political arena, winning the NRM flag for LC 3 chairman in the newly created Kebisoni Town Council in Rukungiri district.
