ENTEBBE – The Officials from the ministry of fisheries led by the senior Inspector Mr. Natseba Hawbu have finally opened Kasenyi fish landing site which was recently closed due to poor sanitation.
The officials from the line ministry also toured the landing site to verify whether the renovation work they had recommended has been implemented to the required standards.
While re-opening this site, the ministry was with the Assistant RDC Hajji Noor Mbabali together with Mr Bosco Kalonga the Chairperson of Kasenyi fish landing site.

Following the site’s re-opening, the ministry got fresh concerns that prompted them to close it again after realizing that the iron sheets on the building in which the processing of fish for export is conducted was in dire shape.
They were instructed to renovate the dilapidated building in the shortest time possible.
The RDC, Noor Mbabali expressed his gratitude to the ministry for acceptance to re-open this site again.

He assured the ministry that he will remind the fishermen to fulfil all the terms and conditions given to them so that the regulators do not close the site again.
