KAMPALA– Former Lubaga South MP, John Ken Lukyamuzi, on July 27, has asserted that there is no Political Party in Uganda that can oust President Yoweri Museveni.
Mr Lukyamuzi made the statement during an interview on a local radio station.
“I think it’s high time we stop fooling ourselves. No political party can unseat Museveni, what this young man Hon Bobi Wine is doing is 100% right,” he said.
He added that members in other political parties just have to swallow their egos and join Bobi Wine.
“Take for example how the Government is panicking right now because of a simple guy who has just joined politics, they are trying all means to block him to appear on the ballot paper. Has this ever happened before to any political party?, why is it that it’s happening in Bobi Wine’s era?, Mr Lukyamuzi added.
He said that this clearly indicates that Museveni is more scared of a determined pressure group than political parties.
For the past years, many Ugandans sent by different Political Parties have been contesting for Presidency to unsent President Museveni but no one could win the elections.
These include; FDC’s Dr. Kizza Besigye, DP’s Nobert Mao, Dr Amama Mbabazi, Dr Abed Bwanika, Mr Bidandi Ssali of People’s Progressive Party among others.
Recently, Bobi Wine promised to evacuate President Museveni in 2021 or even before, believing that democracy is the only way he can defeat President Museveni in the forthcoming elections in 2021.
“We believe he will go in 2021. We believe in democracy and elections. Let us believe and act towards it. We can even take him off even before that date,” Bobi Wine said.
He therefore urged the youth to mobilize themselves and terminate Museveni’s regime in all ways including social media as long as they do so within the confines of the law.
Earlier this week, Bobi Wine unveiled a team that will coordinate People Power activities ahead of the 2021 General elections,He said that People Power is a highly organised group that can take the leadership of the country come 2021.
“On the onset, some people thought it was excitement but the people of Uganda have proven President Museveni wrong. People Power is stronger than the people in power, even when the people in power are determined to bring out gun power,” said the budding politician to cheers from his supporters.
