
KAMPALA- Uganda Journalists Association (UJA) President Al Hajj Bashir Kazibwe Mbaziira has on Wednesday, July 24 been re-admitted at Nairobi Hospital in Kenya.
The statement released by UJA Secretary for Information Ronald Kabuye, indicate that Hajji Kazibwe was referred to Nairobi on Tuesday from Mengo Hospital, where he was admitted on Saturday Evening.
“The association President Hajji Bashir Kazibwe Mbaziira has been re-admitted at the Nairobi Hospital for physical medical review and re-examination,” Kabuye said in a statement on Wednesday.
Mr. Kazibwe last month was admitted in Nairobi Hospital following his collapse during a TV show on June 2, 2019 after allegedly being poisoned.
On Sunday morning, Latif Sebaggala Sengendo, the Kawempe North Member of Parliament visited the frail journalist and said his health situation was worrying.
“The [health] situation is worrying but let’s all have him in our prayers until we come to the bottom of this” he remarked.
Few weeks ago, Mr. Kazibwe alleged that medical reports he didn’t disclose to public show that he was poisoned.
“Dear family, friends and fans, am writing this with a strong mind and spirit whose body has been taken to the edge of death only to be saved by the Master of our Destiny-Allah,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
“It’s been 18 excruciatingly painful days of coming face to face with death itself. The confirmed cause lethal Poisoning. Why? The doers will answer to their Lord,” he retorted in an excerpt from his Facebook post.
