NTUNGAMO/RUKUNGIRI – The Bishop South Ankole Diocese the Rt Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe has asked young people intending to get married to always prepare themselves in time and make sure they are committed to join the marriage institution.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe made these remarks on Saturday August 3, during the giveaway ceremony of Komujuni Kezia a daughter to veteran Journalist and Manager Radio Ankole Ntungamo Elliott Kabangira Magande in Nyaruraara Rwakirunguura Buyanja Rukungiri district.
Flanked by his wife, Lillian Ahimbisibwe, the Bishop expressed his concerns that many people have conducted very luxurious parties attended by people who sacrifice their time and money on the marital events which later end up in divorce after a short while.
He blessed Komujuni Kezia and her husband Ainomugisha Nicholas from Isingiro District and asked Kezia not to be the woman that would have wasted monies and many people’s time.
“Kezia you have started a new journey, its you to build Ainomugisha’s family. If you keep away guests, the family will be closed and if you welcome all the people, God will bless your family” Bishop Ahimbisibwe advised.
Mrs Priscah Tumusiime the political assistant to Hon Mwesigwa Rukutana, asked Komujuni to not only to be wife but a material wife instead of being just woman in marriage.
Elliott Kabangira Magande said that it was unfortunate to have giveaway his daughter into marriage after losing his wife and mother to Kezia late Kellen Kabangira who passed away after being elected as village chairperson Nyaruraara.
“Its absurd am giving away at a time when your mother is nolonger alive, i know she would have been the happiest today. But i bless you today, go make a good family that will glorify the Lord and your mum will continue to rest in eternity” Magande lamented.
Kabangira Magande advised Ainomugisha to love his wife and forgive each other whenever there is a misunderstanding in their marriage for it to be a success.
