JINJA – The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) and KAWA are conducting a capacity building — tooling and retooling workshop for secondary school teachers in Eastern region being held at The Civil Service College Uganda (CSCU) in Jinja District.
Two teachers from each of schools which which received computers through UCC’s Rural Communications Development Fund (RCDF), are attending the workshop.
The Jinja District DEO, Eri Kisamba presiding over the while Mr. Geoffrey Ssengondo, the UCC head technical Service representing the RCDF director Hon Nyombi.
School ICT teachers are being equipped with new skills of integrating ICT in their teaching.
The programme includes;
Computer usage monitoring, software training, Computer Maintenance,
ICT clubs in schools, information literacy among others.
