
WASHINGTON DC- The US president, Donald Trump has reacted to the mass shootings saying that “hate has no place” in the United States after 29 people were killed in two mass shooting over the weekend.
According to BBC, an attack on a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas left 20 people dead and 9 others were killed in Daytona, Ohio.
Mr. Trump has pledged to add more to be done to stop the shootings.
Mr. Trump said: “Perhaps more has to be done “to stop such attacks.”
The shooting that is now being treated as an “act of domestic terrorism” is said to have been targeting Mexicans in the country.
Some critics said that President Trump was part of the problem, citing his anti-migrant rhetoric and opposition to gun control.

According to media reports, a 21-year-old white man was arrested over the shooting in Texas. It is alleged that he posted an online document calling the attack a response to “the Hispanic invasion” of the state.
However, the motives of the Ohio gunman, who killed 9 people one of whom was his sister are still unclear he too was later shot dead on Sunday, August 4.
While speaking to the press, President Trump said that mass shooting needs to be stopped.
“This has been going on for years, for years and years in our country and we have to get it stopped.” He said
He then went on to link both attacks to a “mental illness problem” saying that the gunmen were “very, very seriously mentally ill.
What happened in El Paso
In footage of the supermarket, the gunman opened fire on a crowd at Walmart on Saturday with an assault-style rifle. He surrendered after being confronted by police officers outside the store.
In addition to the 20 fatalities, 26 people were injured in the shooting.
About the suspect
According to BBC, the suspect is named Patrick Crusius, a resident of Allen, in Dallas.

What happened in Daytona
Security camera footage shows a man opening fire in a popular nightlife district in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Dozens of people are seen fleeing through the doorway of the local Ned Peppers night club.
Seconds later, the gunman is seen running towards the venue and being hit by the police as he tries to reach the door.
About the shooter
According to the media, the man who was shot dead by the police was Connor Betts, 24 years.
One of the people he shot is his sister identified as Megan
