
KAMPALA — Ms. Joyce Nalunga, the Chief Executive Officer of The Uganda Law Society (ULS) has scooped a prestigious LexisNexis CEO of the Year Award at 2019 International Institute of Law Association Chief Executives (IILACE) Conference for CEOs of all Bar Associations in Tokyo, Japan.
The 2019 IILACE Conference that ended on Friday, September 21 in Tokyo, brought together executive directors and chief executive officers from around the world to discuss issues of relevance to law societies and bar associations.
Ms. Nalunga wrote an article on “Critical Role of a Bar CEO in the Rule of Law Dispensation – Emerging Trends, Threats and Opportunities” that saw her emerge as the best of all 50 CEOs.
IILACE provides a focused forum for exchange of views and information of common interest of local, national and international executive officers of law societies and bar associations.
Commenting on the same, CEO Ms. Nalunga thanked all distinguished members and said she is humbled to serve them.
“Its an honor to work with the best and yet beautiful smart team of 167 ULS staff,” she said.
The inaugural charter meeting of IILACE was held in Edinburgh, Scotland in July 1999 buf in September 2005 in Prague at IILACE’s Annual General Meeting the revised Constitution was presented.
