KAMPALA — Nudists have been forced to run naked into the streets Naalya, one of the budding residential area in the outskirts of capital Kampala after a famous sauna exploded.
The steam/sauna at Marcos Gym, Naalya (next to Quality) exploded on Sunday evening, wrecking havoc into the area.
A number of customers and staff fled the building and firefighters backed up the by police were called to take control of the situation.
“Steam Sauna At Marcos Gym Nalya Kyaliwajara has exploded few minutes ago, was at Quality nearby but Quality was shaking is if there was a serious quake, no injuries reported yet. Check if ur [your] people a safe,” a purported an eye witnessed posted on social media.
Cause of the mega explosion remains unclear as police continues to seal off venue.
No fatalities reported so far.
The explosion has since damaged Matomachi building near Quality Supermarket along Naalya – Namugongo road.
It is suspected that the blast was caused by a Sauna boiler.
