
KAMPALA — Police has on Saturday September 21 rocked in cell former Buganda Kingdom finance minister Rajni Tailor over bounced cheques.
It is alleged that Owekitiibwa Tailor was netted by Police after several complaints by Indian community — accusing him of failure to pay back the accumulated amount of money the lend to him.
The businessmen is alleged to have issued cheques to a number of people well knowing that he did not have sufficient funds on the account.
A source said that this is the second time that the businessman is being held over bounced cheques.

In March this year, according to a source, the businessman was arrested, but released after he agreed to pay the money by the end of April.
Its not sure whether he paid.
A source added that his businesses are highly indebted.
He is a man of many titles – former president of the Hindu Council of Africa, co-president of the World Council of Religions for Peace, and chairperson of the board of trustees of the Indian Association of Uganda.
