
MOYO — Police in West Nile are investigating circumstances under which a refugee shot and injured a police officer in Moyo District.
The South Sudan refugee is said to have shot and injured Assistant Superintendent of Police Ian Natukunda.
The male refugee is said to have grabbed a gun from a female constable.
It is not yet clear what led the refugee to shoot the officer but Josephine Angucia said that the refugee also shot at other people and details are still being ascertained.
Natukunda has been admitted to Moyo Hospital in critical condition, Ms Angucia said.
