KAMPALA —Businessman Godfrey Kirumira, the chairman of Kwagalana Group is demanding Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), boss Gen. Charles Angina and his guards to publicly apologise for allegedly harassing him on Saturday.
According to reports, soldiers badly clobbered
Tycoon Kirumira before telling him “to remove shoes and sit down”.
Mr. Kirumira was reportedly involved in a land scam at International Hotel in Muyenga that brought him serious troubles including the army beatings.
Soldiers allegedly grabbed Mr. Kirumira, clobbered him and later ordered him to kneel down as they accused him of plotting a plan to steal Gen Angina’s land.
Eyewitnesses said that the businessman later managed to flee barefooted.
The controversial tycoon now wants Gen Angina and his guards to apologise to him in public or face Court over their alleged transgressions.
“Gen. [Charles] Angina and your indisciplined soldiers, if you don’t apologise to me in public am going Court,” the businessman warned on Monday.
Demanding for justice, he also wondered “how can you tell me to remove my shoes and sit down.”
Sources on weekend told this website that Mr. Kirumira is in a land row with Gen Agina who is the deputy coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation.
“It is true, chairman has been beaten badly by soldier sent by Gen. Angina and this is so because Angina is using his current position in Operation Wealth Creation to take over his land”, sources said
