KAMPALA – Popular NTV news anchor and reporter Sheila Nduhukire has crossed to NBS Television-joining several other presenters of NTV Uganda to leave the Serena based station.
Ms Ndukukire has been unveiled on Friday, Nov.1 by Next Media Group CEO Kin Kariisa.
“Welcome to the winning team!” the station posted.
Ms Nduhukire previously worked for NTV Kenya as a news anchor, where she was on Media Lab training.
Ms Nduhukire became more popular on the airwaves most especially during the 2016 elections when she closely reported the results from the elections for close to 20 hours a day and the scandals about teenage marriages in Refugee camps in Uganda.

Fellow workers have since welcomed her at the station.
“When I came here in 2016, I spoke to a man [Kin Kariisa] who gave me the sense than I was becoming part of something really huge. This is not just work. It’s a contribution to creating a nation we shall leave to our children. You are most welcome Shiela,” Samson Kasumba said.
Several other prominent names like Solomon Sserwanja, RukhShana Namuyimba, Sheila Tusiime Mugisha, Ernest Wisdom Kiyonga, Darren Kyeyune, MC Kats, and most recently, Douglas Lwanga left Serena Hotel based media house for Media Plaza.
Ms Nduhukire was born in Kazo, Kiruhura District to Bishop of North Ankole Diocese Stephen Namanya, and Lydia Namanya, a teacher.
She attended Uganda Martyrs Namugongo for O’ Level and later Bweranyangi Girls School for A’ Level. She was Guild President at Mbarara University of Science and Technology before joining Nation Media Group as a trainee journalist and rose through the ranks.
