KAMPALA – Chief Justice Bart M Katureebe has appointed Mr Jameson Karemani Karemera the Judiciary Public Relations Officer.
Mr Karemera, who is the Assistant Registrar, Inspectorate of Courts, replaces Vincent Enemy Mugabo, who has been appointed Judge of the High Court.
“Following the Appointment of His Worship Vincent Enemy Mugabo to the Judge of the High Court, anti in line with the Judiciary’s Strategic Plan to enhance and sustain information sharing and communication on the Institution, I hereby appoint you as the Judiciary Public Relations Officer,” Justice Katureebe’s December 5 letter reads in part.
“You will handle the responsibility of Public Relations Officer alongside your normal duties as Assistant Registrar. I wish you success in your new assignment,” he adds.
Karemera will provide overall oversight over the Judiciary’s Public Relations and Communications Unit and also take the lead in the stakeholder engagements to explain the court services to the public. He will work closely with a team of professional communications specialists.
