KAMPALA – Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) has blocked the online option of checking Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) 2019 results that were released on January 17, 2020 at the Kampala Parents School.
The results were released by Education minister Janet Museveni.
Sources have told us that UNEB closed the platform after pressure from telecom companies MTN Uganda and Uganda who were contracted to post results to students via Mobile SMS.

To this effect, the portal has remained unavailable and UNEB Executive Secretary Mr. Daniel Odongo has since advised parents and their pupils to utilize SMS services on mobile networks which will post results of candidates on their mobile sets instantly.
He said results will also be uploaded on the Schools Portals.
He also asked District and Municipal Inspectors of School to collect hard copies of the results from UNEB offices at Ntinda beginning on Friday 17 January 2020 at 3.00 p.m.

The user should then receive his/her examination results or registration details instantly.
Each SMS sent to 6600 is charged UGX. 500 on both Airtel and MTN networks, therefore, users must ensure that they have enough credit on their phones.

How do I check results through the internet?
Usually, candidates would go to their web browser, Type ereg.uneb.ac.ug/results.
In the form, they would enter the candidate’s Index Number and click SEARCH.
A page with the Candidate’s results would load.
But that it has since been blocked
