
KAMPALA – Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has for the fifth consecutive time produced the Best Overall and Best Student in Humanities according to the final graduation list released by the university early this week.
MUBS has also obtained a total number of 195 first-class students and emerging the best college out of the 10 colleges at Makerere.
Ms. Namukose Rita has emerged as the best overall and best student in the Humanities of the 70th Graduation Ceremony of Makerere University slated to run from 14th to 17th January 2020.
Ms. Namukose obtained a CGPA of 4.92 in the Bachelor of International Business of Makerere University and will graduate during the third session on 16th January 2020.
In 2019 during the 69th Graduation MUBS’ Ms. Namuwaya Hajarah Ali, who graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Computing, scored the highest CGPA of 4.94.
On 18th January 2018, Ms. Namyenya Caroline scooped the best overall and best Humanities honours after scoring a CGPA of 4.95 in the Bachelor of Commerce.
In 2017, Ms. Sarah Namboozo who graduated with a first-class degree in Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a CGPA 4.92 was the best overall and best Sciences student.
During the 66th Graduation Ceremony of 2016, Mr. Tabani Rashid who graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from MUBS scored a CGPA of 4.91, emerging as the best overall and best student in the Humanities.
At the last graduation, Chancellor, Prof. Ezra Suruma commended MUBS for producing the Best Overall Student in the Humanities for four consecutive graduation ceremonies since 2016.
He thanked the leadership and staff of MUBS for the continued academic discipline; and the tremendous efforts to groom business-oriented social entrepreneurs in the country.
