
NAGURU – Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataha Museveni is set to release Primary Leaving Examinations- PLE at Kampala Parents School.
At last year’s 2019 PLE, male candidates performed better than their female counterparts with about 41,000 of them passing in division one compare to their female counterparts who only had 35,000 passing in division one.
The best-done subjects in 2019 were English followed by Social Studies. Science and Mathematics were the worst done subjects.
How do I check results on Phone?
National Examination Board examination results at a cost of UGX.500 using a newly-introduced SMS Service.
The SMS service uses text messages to a Uneb code accompanied by the student’s index number and the student will instantly view their results from their mobile phones.
For example, a PLE former candidate will type PLE, leave a space, fill in the index number and send the message to 6600, a special code is given to Uneb by the Uganda Communications Commission.
In addition, the SMS service will enable candidates to confirm their registration with Uneb, five months before they sit for their exams.
Mr. Odongo said that any person wishing to access results can do so through their mobile phones.
Go to the message menu and type ‘PLE’, leave space, type correct candidate index number and then send it to 6600.”
This is the official procedure announced by the authorities.
How to send the message to know your PLE results
To access the service, he said a user should simply send an SMS from a mobile phone to code number 6600 on Airtel Uganda or MTN Uganda.
To construct a valid SMS, users should enter a prescribed keyword followed by their index number and send the SMS to 6600.
You can get the 2019 PLE Results for any candidate in a few simple steps.
In your message box, type PLE <space> INDEX NUMBER and send it to 6600.
For example, to check the results of the candidate with index number 654321/001, in your message box, type PLE 654321/001 AND SEND TO 6600.
You will receive an SMS at a cost of UGX 500 per candidate
At the moment, only MTN and Airtel subscribers can access this service but the SMS service providers say it will be rolled out to other networks.
The results will be available up to 10 months from the time of the exam release.
