
KAMPALA – Members of the Symposium of Episcopal Conference of Africa and Madagascar (SECAM) have encouraged all the faithful to follow instructions given to them by the Civil and Ecclesiastical authorities regarding the coronavirus.
In a meeting that happened from March 4 to March 7, 2020, in Nairobi Kenya, members of SECAM expressed their sympathy for and solidarity with those who are infected and affected by the virus.
“We pray that effective and affordable treatment of this disease may soon be found,” reads an excerpt.
They further urged people to adopt the highest level of preventive measures to curb the spread of the disease.
“We also ask that they pray for those infected and affected by this disease and for a quick end to the scourge of the coronavirus,” reads the statement in part.

We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen
