MOROTO – District officials and public in Moroto have been left speechless after a multibillion “Sunbelt mining company” that mines marble and limestone in Moroto donated only ten (10) bags of posho to the district taskforce on Covid-19.
The bags were received by the District RDC Mr. Peter Keen Lochap on Friday, April 17 at the district headquarters.
Representing the company, Lt. Col. Amos Oyugi said that another bags of posho will be distributed direct to the community where they operate from.
However, faces of the district officials receiving food were not pleased.
Sunblet company was recently launched by President Museveni in Rupa.
The resident RDC, however, thanked the investor for the donation and called upon other development partners to support the district taskforce.
“We are very great full to all those who have donated to Moroto district task force and we are calling for more support,” he said.
One of the officers who spoke on condition of anonymity said they expected sunbelt company to have doubled what other investors have donated given the fact that they are multibillionaires.
“Am just amused with what has been donated to Moroto district taskforce on Covid-19, just 10 bags of posho! oh My God,” she said.
