KAMPALA – A Kenyan truck driver Daudi Ali was on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 discharged from Kabale regional referral hospital after being healed of coronavirus.
Kabale Resident District Commissioner Darius Nandinda handed over the discharge certificate to Daudi Ali on Wednesday.
Ali tested positive for coronavirus on April 19 and was isolated at Kabale regional referral hospital on April 24 where he was treated for 14 days before his samples tested negative to the virus.
Ali told the press that he was very happy with the way he was treated by staff at Kabale hospital isolation unit because he
never lacked anything.
Mr Nandinda asked the discharged patient to adhere to the guidelines of World Health Organisation (WHO) and that of the ministry of health of his country to avoid re-contracting the killer virus.
The Kabale hospital director Dr Sophie Namasopo said that plans were being made to transport the healed patient back to his country.
