KAMPALA – The National Water and Sewarage Cooperation (NWSC) Managing Director Dr Silver Mugisha has said they are following the government no disconnection policy during the lockdown.
Mugisha who was in an interview with NBS TV on Friday revealed that they [NWSC] are impressed that about 50% of customers paid their water bills last month.
“We urge others who can pay to do so and help us purchase the production inputs and subsequently serve you better,” he said.
“Those who can pay and are taking advantage of the situation not to pay are only postponing the bills,” said Mugisha.
He further urged customers to work with NWSC staff when they come to check on their water supply, deliver bills or any other water and sewerage related concern.
“Our staff have PPE and follow the SOPs given by President Museveni and the task force. Our commitment to serve you is total,” Mugisha said.
