
MASINDI – 303 police officers in Masindi discharged after 14 days in quarantine
A total of 303 police officers in Masindi District have been discharged from an isolation centre after completing the mandatory 14 days in quarantine.
The officers were isolated after one of their own tested positive of Coronavirus about two weeks ago.
Masindi acting police commander, Mr Stephen Mukosa, said they will be communicated to on the procedure on how to resume their duties.
“We thank the officers for being cooperative in this quarantine in case of any communication from the headquarters or from the RPC, we shall respond” Makosa said on Tuesday.
According to the Masindi health officer, Dr Patrick Baguma, the officers are now free to interact with the community.
Mr Rogers Musinguzi, the head of surveillance in Masindi, said the officers were discharged from different quarantine centres such as Masindi army barracks, Masindi hospital, Kabalega SS and Masindi public school.
