KAMPALA – Police Spokesperson CP Fred Enanga has advised private car drivers to continue respecting the presidential directives especially on curfew.
In his 14th address, President Museveni said private cars will be allowed back on the road with effect from May 26 as government starts fo lift the lock down.
While addressing the press on Monday, Enanga said drivers who defy the presidential directives will be arrested and their vehicles impounded.
“All the vehicles must observe curfew time. Whoever will go past 7pm, the vehicle will be impounded and occupants arrested, taken to court and charged with disobeying the presidential directive,” he said.
Enanga further added that the drivers should wear masks with their two occupants.
By Monday, May 25, the country’s total registered cases of Coronavirus has reached 212 after recording fourteen new cases.
