
ENTEBBE – Police in Entebbe are investigating circumstances under which two bodies were Wednesday, May 20, seen at Nambigirwa swamp bridge.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy spokesperson ASP Luke Owoyesigyire said that the bodies were first seen by workers cleaning the Entebbe Expressway at around 3pm.
“Entebbe police team led by the District Police Commander and Fire prevention and rescue services started the work of retrieving the bodies from the swamp,” he said.
He revealed that one body of a male adult was retrieved and efforts are underway to pull out the second body.
“Investigations of course will help us ascertain what happened to these people,” said Owoyesigyire.
He added that, the bodies will later on be conveyed to City Mortuary Mulago for postmortem to ascertain the exact cause of the death.
“We shall update the public accordingly,” he promised.
