
KAMPALA – The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has organised a Post Budget E-Conference where different stakeholders will dissect the National Budget 2020/21.
The two-day conference, slated for June 23 and June 24, will be moderated by URA Commissioner General John Musinguzi Rujoki and will take place via a wide spectrum of channels; four stations and 4 digital media platforms.
The Post Budget E-Conference theme is: Stimulating the economy to safe guard livelihoods, jobs, businesses and industrial recovery.
“You are encouraged to make it very difficult for yourself to miss watching this event where a panel of experts and thought leaders will dissect the National Budget 2020/21,” URA said in a statement.
The conference will be live on NTV Uganda , NBS Television , Smart24TV , UBC TV , YouTube , Facebook Live , Twitter and zoom.us
Some of the panellists include Secretary to the Treasury Keith Muhakanizi, BoU Governor Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile; Mr Elly Karuhanga, the Chairman Private Sector Foundation Uganda, and the Kampala City Traders Association (KACITA) Chairman , Mr Evaristo Kayondo.
Others are Ms Jane Nalunga of SEATINI-Uganda, Mr Francis Kamulegeya, the country senior partner of PWC Uganda and a member of the PWC Africa Governance Board.
Government will internally raise up to Shs32.97 trillion to fund part of the spending pressures in the 2020/21 Financial Year. The balance of Shs12.52 trillion will come from external sources such as loans and grants.
